- Customers are encouraged to use cashless payment on our services and only use cash as a last resort.
Hot on the heels of the rollout of new ticket machines across its business, Warrington’s own Buses are introducing the latest innovation and added convenience for customers using Apple Pay. Express Mode for Apple Pay means customers with Apple Pay can now access bus services and pay for their ticket using their iPhone or Apple Watch. There is no need to wake or unlock the device, open an app or use Face ID or Touch ID.
This makes using Apple Pay on board our buses even more convenient by simply holding your phone close to the card reader. As an added benefit, customers using iPhones with Face ID can now keep their face covering on whilst boarding the bus.
