Sundays: 31st May, 7th June and 14th June 2026

We have been informed by Merseytravel the High Street (A49) Newton-le-Willows will be closed on Sundays for the next three weeks.

We regret that due to the closure service 22A will be unable to serve Earlestown.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Services 22/22A – Closure of Earlestown, Market St, Queen St & Bus Station
Thursday, 28th May to Tuesday, 23rd June 2026 (Queen Street until 10.01.2027)
We have been informed by Merseytravel that in addition to Market Street and Earlestown Bus Station that Queen Street, Earlestown will be closed from Thursday, 28th May until 10.01.27.

Service is to divert as follows:

Service 22 towards Ashton
Outbound as normal to Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Street, left on to Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, Haydock Street, Stanley Street, right on to Market Street, left onto St John Street, left on to Sankey Street left on to Tamworth Street, continue on to Stanley Street, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Cross Lane, left on to Crow Lane West, right on to Vista Road and resume normal route to Ashton.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, Bridge Street,Earlestown Bus Station and Market Street
Service 22 towards Warrington
Inbound as normal to Tamworth Street (do not stop at Earlestown Bus Station, Stanley Street, Haydock Street and resume normal route to Bradlegh Road, Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Road, right on to Crow Lane East and resume normal route to Warrington.
Omits: Earlestown Bus Station, section of Wargrave Street, Railway Street, Queen Street, Bridge Street, Cross Lane and section of Crow Lane East
Service 22A towards Wigan
Outbound as normal to Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Stanley Street, right on to Market Street, left on to St John Street, left on to Sankey Street, left on to Tamworth Street (do not stop at Earlestown Bus Station, continue on to Stanley Street and resume normal route to Wigan
Omits: Crow Lane West, Market Street and Earlestown Bus Station
Service 22A towards Warrington
Inbound as normal to Crow Lane East, continue on Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Stanley Street, right on to Market Street, left on to St John Street, left on to Sankey Street, left on to Tamworth Street, continue on to Stanley Street, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Cross Lane, right on to Crow Lane East and resume normal route to Warrington
