hi all due to an arrival bus braking down in newton station we are not able to pass to pull in to the stops, until this is resolved please go to the main road if you require the 322 or 249 we hope this will be resolved shortly
Manchester Half Marathon 2026

Service 5B – Manchester Half Marathon

We have been informed by TfGM that road closures will be in place between Partington, Carrington and Sale for the Manchester Half Marathon.
As a result service 5B will terminate at Partington and not be able continue towards Sale

Closure of Glebelands Road, Sale

Service 5A – Glebelands Road, Sale
Thursday, 1st October 2026
We have been informed by TfGM that Glebelands Road, Sale will be closed between 0930 & 1430 for roadworks.
Service is to divert as follows:
Service 5A from Warrington will operate as normal to Carrington Lane, then directly via Ashton Lane to and from Sale town centre.

Closure of Waterworks Lane

Services 249 (Hope Ac.) – Road Closure – Waterworks Lane
Monday, 21st September 2026 until Sunday, 13th December 2026
We have been informed by WBC that Waterworks Lane will be closed to traffic from Monday, 21st September 2026 for three months for UU to install new water mains
Service is to divert as follows:
Service 249
Monday to Friday
Outbound to Hope Academy: As normal to A49 Winwick B&Q then (A) Winwick Road A49 and wait time for Winwick Primary School at Winwick Church then (A) A49 and as normal route.
Inbound unaffected.

Diversion on the 44 & 44A, due to a burst water main
Diversions are in place on the 44 & 44A because of a road closure, due to a burst water main. Services diverting via Wood Road, Hollies Road, Church Road before resuming normal route.
Closure of Earlestown, Queen Street

Services 22/22A – Closure of Earlestown, Queen St
Friday, 10th July 2026 until 10.01.2027
We have been informed by Merseytravel that Earlestown Bus Station has reopened from Friday, 10th July 2026, however, Queen Street, Earlestown will remain closed until 10th January 2027.
Service is to divert as follows:
Service 22 towards Ashton
Outbound as normal to Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Street, left on to Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, Haydock Street, Stanley Street, (A) Tamworth Street, Earlestown Bus Station and then as normal route to Ashton.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, and Bridge Street
Service 22 towards Warrington
Inbound as normal route to Bradlegh Road, Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Road, right on to Crow Lane East and resume normal route to Warrington.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, Bridge Street, Cross Lane and section of Crow Lane East
Service 22A towards Wigan
Outbound as normal to Wigan Bus Station.
Service 22A towards Warrington
Inbound as normal to Crow Lane East, continue on Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Stanley Street, (A) Tamworth Street, Earlestown Bus Station and then as normal route to Warrington

Closure of Bold Street - Sankey Gateway Development

We have been informed by W. B. C. that Bold Street will now be closed on ALL DAYS until further notice for the Sankey Gateway development.
As a result, the outbound journeys on the services above will be required to divert during the closure times.
Service is to divert as follows:
Services C47, 1, 12, P18, 42A, 62 & 62A
Will operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Mersey Street to Bridgefoot then as normal route.
Service 96
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Legh Street then Sankey Street, wait time at the Town Hall Stop (AD) then Liverpool Road then as normal route.
Services 2, 25, 28 & 28A
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Buttermarket Street then as normal route.
Temporary bus stops are in place on Buttermarker Street and Academy Street.
