Roadworks on Earles Lane, Wincham

We have been informed by Cheshire West of the closure of Earles Lane, Wincham for utilities works. Service 9 is unable to serve Church Street and Earles Lane in Wincham and buses will continue along Marston Lane (A559).

Closure of Hartford Road, Davenham

10th - 22nd Aug 2026

Service N3 Road Closure Hartford Road, Davenham
Thursday, 13th August 2026 (until 22.08.26)

We have been informed by Cheshire West that the whole length of Hartford Road, Davenham, will be closed for resurfacing From Thursday, 13th August 2026 until Saturday, 22nd August 2026 (or until the works are complete)

Regrettably, there is not suitable diversion to serve Hartford Road or Mount Pleaseant Road, and service will operate directly to/from Moulton Via London Road.

Closure of "Pink Eye" Roundabout towards Warrington

We have been informed by WBC that the north side of the Pink Eye roundabout will be closed to traffic from Monday, 10th August 2026 between 1900 and 0100 on Monday to Friday evenings.
(open as normal Saturday and Sunday)
Service is to divert as follows:

Service 13 & 14
Outbound as normal route
Inbound operate as route to Canons Road then (L) Cromwell Avenue, (R) Winwick Road, (A) Bus gate, (A) Winwick Street and (R) Warrington Interchange

Service 17
Outbound as normal route
Inbound operate as route to Westbrook Crescent (Asda) then (L) Cromwell Avenue, (R) Winwick Road, (A) Bus gate, (A) Winwick Street and (R) Warrington Interchange.

Service 32
Outbound as normal route
Inbound operate as route to Penketh Road (do not turn on to Liverpool Road) then (R) Sankey Way, (L) Cromwell Avenue, (R) Winwick Road, (A) Bus gate, (A) Winwick Street and (R) Warrington Interchange

Closure of "Pink Eye" Roundabout towards Warrington

We have been informed by WBC that the north side of the Pink Eye roundabout will be closed to traffic from Monday, 10th August 2026 between 1900 and 0100 on Monday to Friday evenings.

Service is to divert as follows:
From Warrington to Dallam
Service will operate from the Interchange via Winwick Street, Winwick Road, Kerfoot Street, Folly Lane and Longshaw Street to Dallam. Passengers for the Hospital may remain on board.
From Dallam to Warrington
Service will operate from Dallam as normal route to Lovely Lane then Radnor Street (Hospital Grounds), Guardian Street, Priestley Street, Midland Way, and Legh Street to the Interchange

Closure of Thelwall Lane (Eastbound)

We have been informed by WBC that Thelwall Lane in the eastbound direction will be closed to traffic for the next 5 Saturdays (and Sundays) for roadworks after the junction of Kingsway South to Poachers Lane.
(Westbound open Service 11 normal route)
Service will divert as follows:

Outbound: As normal route towards Knutsford Road/Thelwall Lane then (L) Kingsway South, (R) Reynolds Street to the “Bullring” then as normal route.

Closure of Earlestown, Queen Street

Friday, 10th July 2026 until 10.01.2027
We have been informed by Merseytravel that Earlestown Bus Station has reopened from Friday, 10th July 2026, however, Queen Street, Earlestown will remain closed until 10th January 2027.

Service is to divert as follows:

Service 22 towards Ashton
Outbound as normal to Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Street, left on to Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, Haydock Street, Stanley Street, (A) Tamworth Street, Earlestown Bus Station and then as normal route to Ashton.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, and Bridge Street
Service 22 towards Warrington
Inbound as normal route to Bradlegh Road, Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Road, right on to Crow Lane East and resume normal route to Warrington.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, Bridge Street, Cross Lane and section of Crow Lane East

Service 22A towards Wigan
Outbound as normal to Wigan Bus Station.
Service 22A towards Warrington
Inbound as normal to Crow Lane East, continue on Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Stanley Street, (A) Tamworth Street, Earlestown Bus Station and then as normal route to Warrington 
Omits Victoria Road, Wargrave Road, Railway Street, Queen Street and Crow Lane West

Closure of Bold Street - Sankey Gateway Development

We have been informed by W. B. C. that Bold Street will now be closed on ALL DAYS until further notice for the Sankey Gateway development.


As a result, the outbound journeys on the services above will be required to divert during the closure times.

Service is to divert as follows:

Services C47, 1, 12, P18, 42A, 62 & 62A
Will operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Mersey Street to Bridgefoot then as normal route.

Service 96
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Legh Street then Sankey Street, wait time at the Town Hall Stop (AD) then Liverpool Road then as normal route.

Services 2, 25, 28 & 28A
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Buttermarket Street then as normal route.

Temporary bus stops are in place on Buttermarker Street and Academy Street.
