Closure of Farnworth Road (Westbound)
Services C48 – Road Closure Farnworth Road (westbound), Penketh

We have been informed by WBC that Farnworth Road from its junction of Stocks Lane and Widnes Road will be closed in a westbound direction due to roadworks.
The closure will be in place for up to 5 days.
Service is to divert as follows:
Service C48
Monday to Friday
AM to College operate as normal to Stocks Lane then (L) Meeting Lane, (R) Greystone Road, (R) Warrington Road and (A) Widnes Road and then as normal route.
PM from College operate as normal – eastbound open

Closure of Bold Street - Sankey Gateway Development
Sankey Gateway – Road Closure Bold Street
Monday to Friday All Day
Services C47, 1, 2, 5, 12, 25 ,28, 28A, 42A, 62, 62A, 96, P18
We have been informed by W. B. C. that Bold Street will be closed on Monday to Fridays from Tuesday, 26th May 2026 for up to 11 weeks for the Sankey Gateway development.
Bold Street will be open on Saturday and Sunday - Services will operate as normal routes.
As a result, the outbound journeys on the services above will be required to divert during the closure times.
Service is to divert as follows:
Services C47, 1, 12, P18, 42A, 62 & 62A
Will operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Mersey Street to Bridgefoot then as normal route.
Service 96
Will operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, Mersey Street and Bridgefoot to Wilson Patten Street then as normal route.
Services 2, 25, 28 & 28A
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Buttermarket Street then as normal route.
Temporary bus stops are in place on Buttermarker Street and Academy Street.
