Services 249 (Hope Ac.) – Road Closure – Waterworks Lane
Monday, 21st September 2026 until Sunday, 13th December 2026
We have been informed by WBC that Waterworks Lane will be closed to traffic from Monday, 21st September 2026 for three months for UU to install new water mains

Service is to divert as follows:
Service 249
Monday to Friday
Outbound to Hope Academy: As normal to A49 Winwick B&Q then (A) Winwick Road A49 and wait time for Winwick Primary School at Winwick Church then (A) A49 and as normal route.
Inbound unaffected.

Closure of Earlestown, Queen Street

Services 22/22A – Closure of Earlestown, Queen St
Friday, 10th July 2026 until 10.01.2027
We have been informed by Merseytravel that Earlestown Bus Station has reopened from Friday, 10th July 2026, however, Queen Street, Earlestown will remain closed until 10th January 2027.

Service is to divert as follows:

Service 22 towards Ashton
Outbound as normal to Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Street, left on to Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, Haydock Street, Stanley Street, (A) Tamworth Street, Earlestown Bus Station and then as normal route to Ashton.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, and Bridge Street
Service 22 towards Warrington
Inbound as normal route to Bradlegh Road, Wargrave Street continue on to Victoria Road, right on to Crow Lane East and resume normal route to Warrington.
Omits: Railway Street, Queen Street, Bridge Street, Cross Lane and section of Crow Lane East

Service 22A towards Wigan
Outbound as normal to Wigan Bus Station.
Service 22A towards Warrington
Inbound as normal to Crow Lane East, continue on Crow Lane East, left on to Cross Lane, right on to Haydock Street, left on to Stanley Street, (A) Tamworth Street, Earlestown Bus Station and then as normal route to Warrington 
Omits Victoria Road, Wargrave Road, Railway Street, Queen Street and Crow Lane West
