Services 28 & 28A – Road Closure Station Road, Padgate

We have just been informed by WBC that Station Road, Padgate, will be closed for up to one week
As a result, the following diversion is to be observed.
Outbound as normal route to Blackbrook Ave then (A) Blackbrook Ave, (R) Birchwood Way and then as normal from the roundabout.
Inbound from the roundabout via Birchwood Way then Blackbrook Ave and then as normal route.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Closure of Bold Street - Sankey Gateway Development
Sankey Gateway – Road Closure Bold Street

Services C47, 1, 2, 5, 12, 25 ,28, 28A, 42A, 62, 62A, 96, P18
We have been informed by W. B. C. that Bold Street will now be closed on ALL DAYS until further notice for the Sankey Gateway development.
As a result, the outbound journeys on the services above will be required to divert during the closure times.
Service is to divert as follows:
Services C47, 1, 12, P18, 42A, 62 & 62A
Will operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Mersey Street to Bridgefoot then as normal route.
Service 96
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Legh Street then Sankey Street, wait time at the Town Hall Stop (AD) then Liverpool Road then as normal route.
Services 2, 25, 28 & 28A
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Buttermarket Street then as normal route.
Temporary bus stops are in place on Buttermarker Street and Academy Street.

We have been informed by Warrington Borough Council that these works will finish on Friday, 7th November 2026, and services will return to their normal routes on the reopening of Bold Street.
