Closure of Bold Street - Sankey Gateway Development
Sankey Gateway – Road Closure Bold Street

Services C47, 1, 2, 5, 12, 25 ,28, 28A, 42A, 62, 62A, 96, P18
We have been informed by W. B. C. that Bold Street will now be closed on ALL DAYS until further notice for the Sankey Gateway development.
As a result, the outbound journeys on the services above will be required to divert during the closure times.
Service is to divert as follows:
Services C47, 1, 12, P18, 42A, 62 & 62A
Will operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Mersey Street to Bridgefoot then as normal route.
Service 96
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Legh Street then Sankey Street, wait time at the Town Hall Stop (AD) then Liverpool Road then as normal route.
Services 2, 25, 28 & 28A
Operate from Warrington Interchange via Scotland Road exit then Scotland Road, Academy Street, and Buttermarket Street then as normal route.
Temporary bus stops are in place on Buttermarker Street and Academy Street.

We have been informed by Warrington Borough Council that these works will finish on Friday, 30th October 2026, and services will return to their normal routes on the reopening of Bold Street.
Closure of Myddleton Lane, Winwick
Service 19 – Road Closure Myddleton Lane, Winwick
Friday, 23rd October to Sunday, 1st November 2026 inclusive
We have been informed by WBC that Myddleton Lane, Winwick will be closed to all traffic for UU Roadworks.
The closure will be in place for 10 days.
A shuttle bus will be in place on all days operating between Winwick and Culcheth connecting with the divert 19 service.
Service is to divert as follows:
Service 19
Due to the closure on Myddleton Lane service 19 will operate as normal up Winwick Road as far as Warrington & Vale Royal College, and then divert via Long Lane, Orford Green, Hilden Road, Insall Road, Fearnhead Lane, Crab Lane, Birchwood Way, Birchwood Park Avenue and Warrington Road to Culcheth and then as normal to Leigh.
