Warrington's Own Buses Makes Bus Travel Cheaper for Young People and Free for Care Leavers

From Monday 1st April, getting around Warrington by bus is about to get a lot cheaper if you're under 22!  You can now ride any Warrington bus for just £1 each way. This is an improvement on the previous offer, which only applied to those under 19. So, if you're a student or just need to get around town, it's going to be much easier on your wallet.

And that's not all! If you're a care leaver (aged 18-21) in Warrington, you'll now be able to ride the bus for free. This is part of a unique program to help care leavers get around and be part of the community.

These changes are integral to Warrington Borough Council's overarching strategy to enhance bus accessibility and user-friendliness for all residents. Aligned with the broader objectives of the 'Better by Bus' campaign, the initiative seeks to transform buses into more eco-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective modes of travel.

By offering reduced fares, optimising routes, and increasing the frequency of services, Warrington Borough Council is dedicated to ensuring that riding the bus becomes a preferred and convenient choice for everyone in the community.
