Winwick Road Roadworks & Closures

From 6th January 2025, there will be a program of roadworks and closures effecting Winwick Road for a period of 12 weeks.

UPDATE 9th January 2025
Work has now commenced after delays due to the weather.

The current closures are one lane on Hawleys Lane and another on the southbound carriageway of Winwick Road.  The bus stops at Alder Lane and Ireland Street are currently closed on the southbound carriageway.  Please use an alternative stop.

On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January 2025, we expect Jubilee Way to be closed both ways, meaning Services 20 and 21 will not serve Orford Jubilee Hub.

Reminder of the programme of works:

Main Works from w/c 6th January 2025 for 12 weeks
One lane closed southbound in sections. This will start between Junction 9 Retail Park and Long Lane and migrate south over the 12 week period.  This is likely to change with little notice but we will endeavour to keep updates coming about its position.

Other Closures
Weekend of 18th & 19th January 2025
Closure of Jubilee Way (20 & 21 will not serve Orford Jubilee Hub)

w/c 27th January 2025 for 6 weeks
No left turn from Long Lane onto Winwick Road between 0930 – 1530 – Service 21 will be diverted during these times.

w/c 17th February 2025
Junction of Long Lane closed – no access from Winwick Road.  Services 20/21 will be diverted during these times. 

We will provide more details on diversions as soon as the information is available but we are expecting to experience delays during these works.  Please allow enough time for your journey.
