Bus Service Increase
From 7th September you will have many more options for travelling by bus, with services set to increase significantly.
The bus company has worked with its employees and public health specialists to implement a comprehensive Covid Secure policy. Extra cleaners are sanitizing buses as they arrive back at the bus interchange between trips and a disinfectant ‘fogger’ is in use.
Customers now have total flexibility for payment, with Contactless cards now accepted across the entire fleet, as well as Apple Pay & Google Pay, and the ‘Touch & Go’ mobile phone app, smart cards and cash are all still accepted.
Designated school buses will operate as they did pre-Covid, with no social distancing requirements.
Bus company Managing Director, Ben Wakerley, commented:
“Our buses are now cleaner and safer for customers. The increase in services will give more capacity, with social distancing still in place and allow the return of schools, colleges and recognising increased town centre footfall.
Pupils and students are advised to act now to secure their ‘Touch & Go’ annual bus pass as soon as possible and can do so through our website, app or Travelshop”.
